Guy Martin
Wears a Chronofighter Trigger Flyback
Born in 1981 in Kirmington, England, Guy Martin is a British
rider. He has pushed himself to get to a high level, through
hard work and dedication to every part of his life. Guy has
always believed in hard work giving you the desire to do your best,
as you have had to work hard to get there. Figurehead of the
Tourist Trophy races along with John McGuinness and Ian Hutchinson,
he is known for his agility, honesty and audacity. He made his
debut on road riding at the Senior TT in 2004 on a bike that he and
his dad prepared themselves. Guy has won many races and scored
many podiums throughout his racing career, gaining the respect
of his fellow riders.In the TT Isle of Man races, he always
finished among the top 6 but he never won the famous Senior trophy.
This year he is looking for his first TT victory, which is one of
Guy's biggest ambitions in life.
In 2010, Guy is at the centre of a tremendous project. A
unique 3D documentary showing his preparation and
determination to take part in the TT races. Wearing his GRAHAM with
pride, Guy tells how vital motorcycle racing is.
Outside of racing, Guy is still a full time mechanic, such is his
love of engines. Earlier this year, Guy Martin became the
presenter
of his own
prim
e
time
show on BBC One, The Boat that Guy Built. The series shows Guy and
one of his friends, Mark Davis, using the Industrial Revolution's
processes to renovate a boat and travel on
canals. Guy is also the main character in
the 2010 3D cinematic film "Closer to the Edge"
which explores the mind
set of the top riders at the 2010 TT. In both projects Guy's
natural personality shown through - what you see is what you
get!
Guy is extremely passionate about engineering, history and people,
his enthusiasm is contagious.
