Ian Hutchinson

Wears a Chronofighter Oversize TT

Born in Bingley, England on 12th August 1979, Ian Hutchinson is the racer for the Padgett's Honda team in road races like the Isle of Man TT and the North West 200. He also works as a motorcycle technician. Hutchinson holds the distinction of winning the most races in a single Isle of Man TT meeting, when he achieved a clean sweep of five solo wins in 2010.

He started racing in 2001 with new era club on a GSXR 600. After a late start to this high speed exciting sport he moved up through the ranks very quickly competing in the mro powerbike class in 02 and up again to the british superstock championship in 03.

2003 also saw him enter in his first ever real road race when he competed in the manx grand prix, racing round the infamous TT circuit in the Isle Of Man. He won the senior newcomers race in record time also setting a new lap record of 116.66mph, all in all he was destined to be a road racer.

In 2004, he continued with selected british superstock races as budget would allow and entered the big one, THE ISLE OF MAN TT RACES. Finishing 3 races inside the top 12 he found it an exciting experience and wanted nothing more than to be a TT winner.

2005 saw him again compete in selected British superstock races and extend his road racing cv to the north west 200 event in Ireland and the ulster gp. Continuing his progress in the TT he had 4 top ten results and he was gaining experience every year.

In 2006 it was a major change to his racing lifestyle as for the first time he would not be going racing in a van alone, he would be riding for a very successful Irish based team, Mcadoo racing rewarded his efforts with a full stable of machinery for the big three international events. As for the road racing it went from strength to strength with mcadoo racing's profesional approach to racing it really raised his game and it showed in his results as they left the north west 200 as supersport winners and lap record holders, the TT with three podium finishes and the ulster gp also with three podium finishes and another lap record.

Things could not be better and when the call came from the uk's official Honda racing team HM PLANT Honda for a fully supported ride in 2007 he was overwhelmed, in fact he had offers from all the major teams and his dream of winning a TT was becoming a reality. In 2009 Ian has had a breaking record of 5 wins on the TT.
